Contracts are now ready for the 2008 fair. The 2008 fair has been expanded to11 days. The commercial tent will continue to be open 10 days. The first Thursday, July 17th will be free admission preview night and only the carnival and food vendors will be open. This means the tent will open up at 12 Noon on Friday July 18th and close at 7 PM on Sunday July 27th. Exhibit Dates: Friday, July 18th thru Sunday, July 27th. Tent Hours: Friday (18th) 12-10 Tuesday (22nd) 12-9 Saturday (26th) 12-10 Saturday (19th) 12-10 Wednesday (23rd) 10-9 * Sunday (27th) 12-7 Sunday (20th) 12-9 Thursday (24th) 12-9 Monday (21st) 12-9 Friday (25th) 12-10 *Opening early on Senior Citizen Day Security: There will be no security during the times the tent is open to the public, except if needed. Starting at 8:45 or 9:45 p.m. (Depending on closing time) each evening security will be on hand to assist with the closing of the tent and will provide security throughout the night. The tent will be supervised off and on throughout the daylight hours until the tent opens at 12:00 noon each day. The fair board will not accept responsibility for damage to or theft of items included in exhibits and displays. Booths: All booths are 15' deep. Smallest starting at 10' wide and sold in increments of 5'. Cost is $2.50 per sq foot. Electric is $4.00 per day for 110 volt and $8.00 per day for 220 volt. There is no subletting of space. Displays: There is a 4 foot height restriction for the front 6 feet of booth space so as not to block the view of neighboring booth spaces for those visiting the commercial tent. Set-up: Set up times will be: Wednesday July 16th - 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday July 17th - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will close the tent at 3:00 p.m. Please have exhibit ready. The tent will open to the public on Friday at Noon. Tear Down: You may begin taking down the booth starting no earlier than 7:00 p.m. on Sunday , July 27th. All contents of the booths must be removed by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28th, as the tent will begin coming down at that time. Fair admission: General admission to the fair is $7.00 per person per day or a ten -punch transferable season pass can be purchased for $40.00 Two season passes will be provided for each 150 sq ft vendor at set up. Vendor Prices: Single admission tickets $ 5 Ten-punch season passes $ 30 Parking: Two parking passes will be provided to you at set up time. Certificate of Insurance: A Certificate of Insurance must be provided with your contract naming the Porter County Agricultural Society as a coinsured. ($500,000.00 minimum). Your contract will not be honored until the certificate is received.
